Overview

High Liner Foods Incorporated is a leading North American processor and marketer of prepared, value-added frozen seafood.  Our branded products are sold to most grocery and club stores throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico under High Liner®, Fisher Boy®, Mirabel®, Sea Cuisine® and Royal Sea® labels.  We also sell High Liner®, FPI®, VikingTM , Icelandic® Seafood , Samband of Iceland®, Seastar®, Seaside ®and Mirabel® food service products to restaurants and institutions, and we are a major supplier of private label seafood products to North American food retailers and food service distributors.

High Liner Foods is a Canadian company that trades under the symbols HLF and HLF.A on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

The company began in 1899 with the founding of W.C. Smith & Company, a salt fish operation located in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia -- the current home of our head office and one of the most modern and diversified food processing plants in the world. On December 20, 2007 the Company acquired the North American marketing and manufacturing business of Fishery Products International. On December 13, 2010 the Company purchased the USA based assets of Viking Seafoods, Inc. On December 19, 2011 we purchased Icelandic USA, Inc. and several other subsidiaries of Icelandic Group hf.

Today, we are North America's largest marketer of prepared frozen seafood products.
