It’s our craft and our heritage. Our timeline gives a sense of how we got to where we are today.

1899, the founding of W.C. Smith & Company, a salt fish operation located in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia—still the current home of our Canadian Operations.

1926, created the High Liner brand.

1945, created National Sea Products.

1982, acquired the Commodore private label.

1986, acquired Fisher Boy.

1999, changed our name to High Liner Foods.

2007, acquired the North American marketing and manufacturing business of Fishery Products International.

2010, purchased the assets of Viking Seafoods, Inc.

2011, acquired Icelandic Group’s U.S. and Asian operations.

2013, acquired the principal assets and operations of American Pride Seafoods LLC from American Seafoods Group LLC.

2014, acquired the business of Atlantic Trading Company LLC
