    President & Chief Executive Officer

    Paul was appointed as President & Chief Executive Officer in December 2023. Previous to that he served as the Company's Chief Financial Officer, since February 2014. 

    Prior to joining High Liner Foods in 2014, Paul was CFO with Sobeys Inc., a leading Canadian grocery and food distributor. He is a Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant (FCPA) and began his career with Ernst & Young LLP providing audit, tax, valuation and business advisory services for a variety of clients in various business sectors. Prior to joining Sobeys Inc. in 2003, he held a number of progressively senior finance positions in the technology sector.

    Paul graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Acadia University. In 1997 he received his Chartered Accountant's designation.   He is also a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.

    He is currently Treasurer of the Groundfish Forum, a member of the executive of the National Fisheries Institute, a board member of Norcod, and Andfjord Salmon Group.

    Paul is also Chair of Sport Nova Scotia and a member of the Advisory Board of FM Global Canada.

    Paul is an Honorary Governor of the Board of Governors of Acadia University, having completed a seven-year term as Chair of the Board. Paul is also past Chair of the Board of Governors of the Halifax Grammar School.

    Kimberly Stephens
    Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

    Kimberly Stephens was appointed Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer in September 2025 and now leads all aspects of High Liner’s financial strategy and operations, including financial reporting, financial planning & analysis, capital allocation, corporate finance, and investor relations. Prior to that, she served as the Company’s Vice President, Finance and Investor Relations, since June 2022. 

    Prior to joining High Liner Foods, Kimberly was Chief Financial Officer at Appili Therapeutics and Immunovaccine, where she successfully led approximately $75 million in equity financings and guided Appili’s initial public offering. She brings more than 25 years of experience in financial management, corporate strategy, and capital markets to her role. 

    Kimberly holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Mount Allison University and is a CPA/CA. 

    In addition to her professional responsibilities, Kimberly served as Chair of the Board for Habitat for Humanity for over four years, was President of the local FEI chapter, and currently serves as Audit Committee Chair for both the Halifax Chamber of Commerce and BioTalent Canada.

    Chief Commercial Officer

    Anthony joined High Liner Foods in July 2021 as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). In this capacity, Anthony oversees the sales, marketing and innovation functions of the business. 

    Prior to joining High Liner Foods, Anthony held a variety of cross functional leadership roles at Mondelez International where he led customer and category development, revenue growth management and sales strategy and planning.

    Through the course of his career, Anthony has launched market innovations across the grocery aisles and is a skilled strategist driven by a passion for consumer brands.

    Anthony started his career at Kraft Foods Inc. and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business in Toronto.

    Chief Supply Chain Officer

    Tom Jansen joined High Liner Foods in September 2023 as Chief Supply Chain Officer and leads the global end-to-end supply chain strategy and activities for the organization including procurement, manufacturing, quality assurance, transportation, and warehousing.

    Prior to joining High Liner Foods, Tom served as Senior Vice President, Ontario Division for Atlantic Packaging and also held senior operating roles in a number of organizations including American Iron and Metal, J.D. Irving, Whirlpool Corporation, A.T Kearney, Lafarge, and McKinsey & Company.

    Tom has deep expertise in global procurement and supply chains across a range of sectors and will bring a unique strategic lens to HLF supporting High Liner’s customers’ needs across North America.

    Tom earned his BA at McGill University, his MSc & MA at Georgetown University and his MMBA through McKinsey & Company.

    Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary

    James joined High Liner Foods in April 2024 and currently serves as Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary. In addition to legal and governance matters, James oversees the company’s sustainability, human resources, and communications functions, and serves as corporate secretary to the board of directors.

    Prior to joining High Liner Foods, James held progressively senior leadership roles at WildBrain (TSX: WILD), most recently as Executive Vice President, General Counsel. In that role, he was responsible for global legal and business affairs, corporate governance, and communications and trade marketing across the company’s international operations. Earlier in his career, James practiced corporate, securities, and commercial law with Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP in Toronto.

    James holds a JD/MBA from Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law and School of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology from Queen’s University.

    Over the course of his career, James has supported the strategic growth and evolution of complex organizations, with a focus on people, sustainability, and long‑term value creation. He has been actively involved in mentoring and developing teams, including teaching entertainment law as part‑time faculty at Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Fisheries Council of Canada.
